Ok, I have to admit. When I found out I would be receiving this DVD I assumed it would be the digital frog dissection. Although I have all boys and for the most part they probably would have thought that was cool, I was still a little leery.
However, the same company that can provide you with digital dissection also provides digital field trips! Digital Frog International (click HERE for web information) sent me this DVD that provided a virtual tour of the wetlands, the rain forest, and the desert. According to the company, this would be most recommended for middle school to high school level learners. For the most part this is true but as with many other field trips, my 7 year old was still able to participate.
The DVD was very easy to install or simply use from your CD drive. It was also very user friendly. The boys were able to navigate around the various pages fairly easy(of course learning about the animals in each region was their favorite part). I personally liked how you could take your children on many rabbit trails or you could just cover basic information. Isn't that one of the main reasons we homeschool? ;)
I would definitely recommend this to other homeschoolers but I'm not sure that most single income families would be able to afford the $125.00 cost for something that isn't a complete curriculum. What do you think?
