I hear a strange noise. That's never a good sign. I usually recognize the weird noises in my house that the boys make (toys, gun sounds, the Wii, bodily functions, etc.). I walk into the living room to find Ethan holding their bathroom towel rod in 3 pieces. I take a deep breath before I ask why he's holding their bathroom towel rod in his hands and he says, "I was climbing." Only, here's the deal: God love my little man, he talks like Elmer Fudd anyway because he can't really say L's and R's and now he's missing one of his top teeth so now I have Elmer Fudd with a lisp. It really came out like "I was cwiming." I asked him why he would literally be climbing the bathroom wall. His response: "To impwess Twevor" (To impress Trevor.) At this point all Trevor is impressed with is how much trouble Ethan has now managed to get himself into.
{Sigh}
So, I asked him, "And did it work?" He said, "No, because I fell and hit my butt on da fwoor and my head on da potty."
"Are you ok?"
"Yes ma'am"
"And how's this working out for you so far??"
"Well, at weast nufing is weaking. Not me or da potty." (Well, at least nothing is leaking.)
Really? Seriously???
Dear Lord, it's a good thing he's cute.
