Animals beware

OMG........In the past several months we have lost 3 animals in my house. It has not been fun. We lost 2 of the most precious dogs ever earlier in the summer. This time, Harley the beta fish went to the big pond in the sky. Ethan is devastated. He cried over a fish and dang near had a coronary when I told him we were flushing him and not burying him. I didn't know someone could get attached to a FISH.

So......the fish bowl is cleaned out and I promised him we would go tonight and let him pick out another one. Poor Trevor got the job of flushing the fish while I consoled Ethan. Later when Ethan wasn't around, I told Trevor that he had just performed his first funeral. He rolled his eyes, laughed, and said, "Nice, mom." LOLOLOL

The good news is Ethan came to me a few mins. ago and announced "I am over Harley now. RIP Harley" and just walked back out of the room like nothing had ever happened. Now why can't every other meltdown he has end that easily?

My kids are going to need so much therapy and I need a lot more margaritas........................
