Book giveaway contest!

I know I've said it before, but you really have to read Cowboy & Wills by Monica Holloway. I've read A LOT of books about autism, but this is one of my favorites. Even if you don't know anyone with autism, you can still appreciate the struggles she experienced as a mom and the love Wills had for his dog, Cowboy. There were parts where I thought I would wake up everyone in my house because I was laughing so hard. There were parts where I cried and snotted like crazy too. :)

So, that brings me to the contest................

Check out this video http://www.youtube.com/monicaholloway#p/a/u/0/oq6u-JaE3IQ.

Don't worry, it's a safe link to the trailer for the book. Leave a comment here and tell me who's your Cowboy. (You will understand what that means AFTER you watch the trailer. I promise.) I'll do a random drawing and someone will receive their own hardback copy of Cowboy & Wills. Since my birthday is this month, we'll celebrate on the 13th when I pick the winner! It will be my birthday but you can have the present. Cool, huh? ;)

By the way, I am in no way being compensated for this. I just think it's a great read. It's uplifting and you'll love it. It's a bestseller. And it's FREE. Good luck! I can't wait to read your stories.

I don't really have a cowboy!!! I love all animals, but the dog I loved the most was a Red Dobie that I had when I was about 20yrs old. I lived in Az. then. I had to move back to Ca(where I am from) & I had to leave her. I gave her to a neighbor that I thought I could trust. About 3mos later I got a call from that neighbor saying that the dobie ran out in the street & got hit by a car & broke both her back legs!!! I cryed for days. I could've brought her home with me, but it would've cost me $300!!!! How I regretted not bringing her with me!!!! I really like the story in the book & would really like to read it. Thanks!!!!

I'm sure reading this book will mean I need a box of Kleenex right next to me.
My Cowboy is my husband who has pushed me to get out of bed every morning to face the trials of autism. The same man who sold all of his hunting material so I could spend every moment with my son. The same man that drives a motorcycle to work in 102 degree weather, 10 degree weather, and stormy weather. The same man that has sacrificed his own persona happiness to give to my son. He will be my guy, until the day I die!

Hi, Amanda. This looks like a great, heart-wrenching book. My son and I watched the trailer together, and he has a Cowboy, his cat Felix. Felix is black with q white mustache, and he was born in our house. From earliest kittenhood, Felix chose my son to sleep with, to cuddle with, and to comfort in his mysterious cat ways. When my son was sick, Felix crouched on the bathroom floor just to be near him. It's beautiful how God gives us emissaries in the animal world to comfort our Aspies.

My cowboy would be Angel she was with us for 10 years and loved a wealth of children while she was here. She traveled around the world with us and never missed a tear from any of our children. It has been 3 years sence our Angel passed away but never a day passes when one of the children dosent tell us she is missed or askes God to take care of her while she waits for us in Heaven.

We have many animals that are special to our hearts, but one of the most special was Gabby, my oldest son's beloved Boxer. She was his companion through numerous moves (military family), easing his transitions, offerning unconditional love and companionship. However, I really am hoping to win this book to give to a dear friend of mine who has an autistic son. He LOVES cats, though he is allergic to them. She lets him keep the cats outside and has a bottle of Bendryl handy because the benefit of the cats outweighs the negative of the allergy. I know she would love this book. I would definitely borrow it back from her to read it when she was done!
